Soul Training Part 1: Introduction + What is Soul Training?

Introduction

Throughout my career as a personal trainer, I have had countless clients who have come to me to help them achieve their fitness goals. Some are looking for aesthetic changes, and some for health improvements.

On the surface, the formula to accomplishing these goals is fairly simple. First, we apply stress to the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems, then we try to make lifestyle and habit changes, in order to hopefully effect some permanent and sustainable change.

But there are other considerations that are essential to a well-rounded, healthy lifestyle. Under normal circumstances these elements often get neglected, as we focus on the more physical aspects of the workout as they provide the most visible and immediate results.

Squat, Skip and Shower becomes the order of the day. We tend to avoid the less immediately fulfilling but equally important protocols such as mobility, breath work, sleep health, rehab, and core. Neglecting these can and will seriously impede your ability to achieve optimal results from your exercise regimen, and can even lead to your workouts causing more harm than good.

This workshop will focus on some of these often neglected aspects of fitness training that help facilitate positive changes in the body… The “Soul” part of Body and Soul if you will.

My name is Tracey, welcome to Soul Training.
